High visitor flows were experienced and the public showed its full appreciation for the solutions presented by Oikos. These included its Roman Travertine, which was one of the 6 finalists in the Green Building Product section at the 2016 “Best of IBS Awards” for the innovation, functionality and design of the solutions proposed, and Antico Ferro Corten, selected as a finish for the workshop of 10 New High Performance Products to Hit the Market.
By presenting original matter textures, with three-dimensional effects created by studying and redeveloping the Italian artisan tradition, Oikos earned a place as a benchmark for eco-sustainable solutions in the US market. It produces these with a manufacturing process that recuperates and reuses its own waste materials and those of third parties.
The IBS fair was an opportunity to reconfirm the role of the Oikos Business Unit in the Contract industry which provides customers and partners with tailor-made services, ranging from design and technical assistance, to the preparation of surfaces that meet the specific demands of the American market.
